2nd September, 2007
At the Goodwood revival
meeting the Wicko was placed first and won the "Freddie March, Spirit of
Aviation" trophy.
This unique converted
award depicts the twin engined "Horden Richmond" (2x Continental A-40) light
aircraft flying through the engraved glass and mounted on a slate base.
Only one "Horden
Richmond" was built and was sadly underpowered with an unconventional control
system. No further development took place.
"JD hold the trophy and suitable celebration bottle."

"Left to right, John Dible, JD,
Rob Wildeboor (chef aircraft engineer Goodwood)
and Allen Jones (CEO of Solent
Wings Museum).
Rob and Allen were members of
the judging team viewing the aircraft over the weekend.
They had a tough job judging a
very high standard of assembled aircraft".

We were encouraged to dress in
1940's, 1950's fashion and this is the result!
No, we were not on the way to
rob a bank".
